Microdermabrasion Peel Now A Popular Treatment For Backs
As mentioned in earlier articles new and fresh uses for microdermabrasion appear on a regular basis. Initially it was purely a facial treatment but it was so successful at re sculpturing the skin that it wasn't long before people started to experiment with it on other areas of their body.
Chemical peels have been very popular for a long time now but, most recently, people are opting for a "microdermabrasion peel" as it is far less aggressive and yet manages some rather spectacular results for minimal discomfort. The most recent change in use of the microdermabrasion peel is a move towards using it to treat the skin of the back.
Last month I was highly amused and tickled pink at the trend for using microdermabrasion on the butt. However it seems reasonable that we look our best for the beach this summer and a sexy butt always catches the eye. I took a further look at the use of the treatment and considerations for those about to parade themselves on the beach in my article "Beach Hotties Use Microdermabrasion" and I see that more newspapers and magazines are covering the subject as summer heats up.

I find myself feeling rather stupid for not mentioning the use of microdermabrasion for the back in one of these two previous articles but it had simply not entered my head! Yes women will benefit but, again, many men are finding the treatment a must following a waxing. Sadly men suffer terribly with blackheads on their backs and acne on the back is not uncommon. Maybe this has something to do with the type of manual employment they are engaged in but it is well known that the skin care treatment is one of the most successful at treating these complaints.
Even in a swimsuit your back can often remain highly exposed. Evening gowns and dresses are often backless and many women find themselves avoiding such clothing because of embarrassment caused by the quality of their skin (on the back). After only a few treatments the improvement can be astounding and you will find that you will be comfortable wearing your first choice in clothing.
The treatment of the back had totally flown by me until I read of a specific treatment, by Nuewave, in the Telegraph newspaper (you can read the article here). The article gave the usual descriptions of microderabrasion and comparisons to other peels but it included a full review of the treatment from start to finish. However the person testing the treatment was advised to stay out of the sun for 24 hours following the session. How stupid of me not to have mentioned this on my site, I really must put together a checklist of recommendations for those considering the treatment. It can be so easy to overlook the simplest of things which can lead do nasty experiences.
Following microdermabrasion the new layer of skin is exposed and this needs, at least, 24 hours, to settle down. During this period the skin can appear a little pinkish but it can also be rather sensitive - especially if you have sensitive skin to begin with! Therefore besides avoiding direct sunlight you should also avoid using any abrasive skin care creams or lotions as you will run the risk of enflaming the skin or even causing serious damage.
Yet again the review was extremely positive and made reference to the fact that the tester found that the results were prolonged. Comment was made that after a month the skin was still "nicely smooth" and felt incredibly soft. From reading the article I can only assume that this was after only one session so imagine how glowing the report would have been if they had been through a complete course of microdermabrasion treatments (usually about 10 sessions).
