Microdermabrasion

Home Microdermabrasion Markets

The battle for control for the home microdermabrasion continues to forge ahead unabated. Over the last few months I have seen a massive increase in the occurrence of the word microdermabrasion right across the internet and especially in relation to the term "home microdermabrasion".

Yes the home microdermabrasion market is huge and it continues to grow but I was puzzled as to why there should be such an increase in such a short space of time. All web sites wish to be noticed and the best way to do this has and possibly always will be, to get to the top of the search engines. To do this your site must be good and this means quality content that is current. So why is this so relevant to marketing, shouldn't it be more related to skin care.

Well the truth is that any market is limited and there is only so much information about the products that can be printed before duplication occurs. So many people (including myself to some degree) is after a piece of the huge microdermabrasion cake. For the small internet based business the easiest way in is by advertising and selling home microdermabrasion and general skin care products.

There are now so many people that are competing for your custom that more and more people consider the market as an opportunity and while doing so they search the Internet. Marketers monitor web searches and watch for increases so that they can target such markets. However the behavior explained here creates an artificially inflated number of returns for the actual search as many are not interested in purchasing home microdermabrasion products.

To make matters worse we now have a situation where so many people are fighting for their microdermabrasion sites that severe repetition of the same old material is happening on virtually all sites. This makes the life of a user looking to purchase skin care products continually finding rehashed pages of little value.

Even worse is a common practice employed by salons to increase there listings where they too target related searches just to get their site mentioned wherever they can. A couple of days ago I visited a web site which was supposed to be a news article about the comparison of home microdermabrasion products and services but when I got there there while article was about a media cal aesthetics clinic several hundred km from my home. I was furious as I really wanted to see other people opinions and compare them to my own. When assessing the effectiveness of a skin care product, especially when it is relatively new such as the many new home microdermabrasion items about these days, it is of extreme importance that you make some enquiries first. The best place to start is the Internet to compare what people say about any one particular product.

Let's face it, for many of us a monthly, or even bimonthly visits to the salon for professional microdermabrasion is far beyond our means. I know the benefits of the treatment, possibly more than others, but I too find it too expensive to have a regular appointment. Therefore I am looking for the best home microdermabrasion machine and complimentary skin care lotions and creams. I am also investigating various creams that describe themselves as "micro-dermabrasion". My idea being that I can have a pro treatment every six to eight months and give myself home treatments in between. I am sure there are plenty of other folk out there in a similar position.

I am extremely annoyed that I seem to always land on a page that has little to do with what I had searched for and suspect that even this page could irritate some visitors. I eventually found what I had been looking for at http://www.newsnet5.com/money/13346780/detail.html but it would appear that it really wasn't as helpful as I had hoped. Amazon and a few of the price comparison sites have excellent reviews and I plan to stick to these in future.

Sometimes competition is healthy but it is equally true to say that, in this case, too many cooks spoil the broth - a bit cliche but true. The microdermabrasion treatment continues to grow in popularity and it is therefore highly likely that we will find ourselves in am even more difficult situation when searching for trustworthy unbiased and factually correct information. With more and more salons, spa's and clinics offering professional microdermabrasion at reduced cost more sites will appear. Our only hope is that the search engines offer more information that is relative to the locality of the surfer. THe likes of Google, Yahoo & MSN are all working towards providing this info. Hopefully the end result will be that if I search an engine for microdermabrasion clinic the returns offer me links to sites that belong to local salons only. but this brings up a whole hoard of further questions...

At the end of the day the best source of information about microdermabrasion is to talk directly to somebody who uses it. If this happens to be a friend or family member all the better as you will know how trustworthy the information is. If you are extremely, if the person uses any home microdermabrasion equipment there is no harm in asking if you could take a look or even try it out.
